Brisbane real estate is better known for its sprawling homestead properties with lots of living space and grounds. However, its CBD is also the hub of some of the tallest residence buildings of all Australia. For those who prefer heights to space, here are four of Brisbane’s tallest residence apartments to ask from your Brisbane real estate agent.

Q1

Q1 or Queensland Number One is currently the world’s third tallest residential building. The 72-storey building includes one, two, and three bedroom apartments. Residents enjoy facilities that include a concierge, elevators, business center, games room, laundry services, and safe deposit box.

Its restaurant, the Absynthe whips up delectable French cuisine served in an easy-going and friendly atmosphere. There is also a bar/lounge for more spirited entertaining.

The building was completed in 2005. Its most interesting feature is the SkyPoint. The viewing deck, formerly known as the QDeck, occupies the 77th and 78th floors and offers 360 degrees of unobstructed view of Brisbane.

Infinity Tower

The Infinity Tower is still under construction, expected to be completed by 2014. With its current roof height of 817 feet, it is Brisbane’s tallest building. The building is designed for 81 storeys, housing a total of 546 residential apartments, with a choice of one, two, and three bedroom units. The building is expected to offer a combined advantage of luxury living and superb location.

Apartment sales is brisk, with less than a third of the units remaining. Residents are expected to enjoy world-class building amenities that include a complete indoor aquatic center containing a lap pool, spa, and sauna, a fully equipped gym, landscaped gardens, secured parking, and marvelous views of the city.

Soleil

Soleil was completed in 2011, and was the tallest building of Brisbane until it was toppled by the Infinity Tower. The slim tower is 797 feet tall and has 74 storeys above grade. Only 43 storeys are residential apartments. 25 levels are serviced apartments, with three levels of commercial levels and ten levels for parking. The building has a total of seven elevators for convenience.

Facilities and building amenities include a heated pool, spa, dry sauna, and state-of-the-art gymnasium. Security facilities include controlled lifts, secured parking, and 24/7 onsite security. It is located in the center of Brisbane’s city hub, just a stroll away from business and shopping centers, bars, restaurants, and parks.

Aurora Tower

The Aurora Tower was completed in early 2006 and opened on May of the same year. It is 679 feet high with 69 floors. It has a total of 452 units, 18 of which are penthouses and 54 sky homes apartments. Aurora Tower has 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and 4-bedroom units.

Facilities of the Aurora include an indoor heated pool, cinema, and entertainment center for its residents. There is also a fully equipped gym, and sauna. The slim curved tower also features the innovative iris recognition security, on top of its other security measures. The best thing about the Aurora Tower is its proximity to Brisbane’s commute and transport links including the Central Railway station.
